Genealogical research is billed at $75 per hour. This includes online research, on-site research, analysis and report, travel time, and communication via email or telephone.

A minimum of five hours is required for phase one of a new project. Client and researcher will agree on a maximum number of hours to be spent. The research phase will conclude with a written report, which is accompanied by scans of records located.

If you need a birth, marriage, or death record from a German city office (generally available from 1874 on), I can order this document for you, handle your international payment to the archive (usually about $20 per document), and provide you with a transcription and translation of the document once received. My fee is $75 per document, which includes the translation. The fee charged by the German archive is extra.
